you know you're not a kid anymore when your mother calls u in tears for help, to tell you that she is depressed and you are the one she needs to talk to, now you are the one who is offering her your support and your advice. it's nice that you can be there for your mother and offer her the same comfort and strength that she offered you growing up, but at the same time, you're trying to hold back tears because having to see or hear your mother cry may possibly be the hardest thing you could ever experience
